What to expect from an online course
Our learners value the flexibility and autonomy of online education. However, not all courses are organized the same way.
Enrolling in an “on-demand” course allows you to start right away and learn at your own pace, completing coursework and assessments on your schedule. Other courses may require you to complete coursework on a set schedule (often weekly), although you choose the days and times to complete that work. Also remember to consider course delivery:
- Asynchronous: You complete all learning on your own schedule.
- Synchronous: You attend class virtually in real-time.
Another consideration is the type of learning credential you will receive after you finish. Some professional education programs provide a certificate of completion. Others may provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
